You are my knowledge and my Wealth. You truly are my everything, my God of all gods. Please vote today if you haven't done it already. Sometimes it feels weird to focus so much on voting. It's not romantic, it's not that cool. It's not sitting high up in an old growth tree so it wont be cut down, and it's not holding a sign outside of an international corporation. It's also not as edgy as waving our grievances on social media and proclaiming that the system is f***d. But the truth is, it really is important. And it is a deeply bold and spiritual act. It is a form of prayer, acted with our entire body, that cries out with hope that our system is worth saving, that it is worth caring about, that humans are deeply good at our core, that we can and must do the right thing, that this crazy experiment we call democracy is a worthy endeavor, that we care about each other, and that our care matters. Voting alone is not enough. Our system is dysfunctional on many levels. It requires us to do more than just vote. It requires the acts of disobedience, the social media activism, and the relieving of suffering in our communities. But for today, lets start with voting. Lets cast our prayers into a broken system as dreams of what can be. There are undercover agents working in this broken system, right now, on all levels, who are doing the secret work of spreading light into darkness and love into a world that sometimes feels as if it doesn't believe in it. These undercover agents exist on all levels of government. They exist in our corporations and at the highest levels of popular music and culture. They exist in our prisons and schools. This is not metaphor or pretty words to inspire action. I have met these people. I know they are real. Today, I honor their work and let them know I believe in them and I believe in the dream of what humanity can be. Today and everyday I believe in love. But today I act out my love by casting my vote. #ivoted #vote
